Flee out of the midst of Babylon [the defiled worldly congregations ruled over by Satan in the very end of time allowing the world’s policies (Daniel 8:23-25) inside her doors], and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD’s vengeance [the Day of the LORD]; he will render unto her a recompence.
We first read about the end-time Babylon in Revelation Chapter 14, where in God mentioned the worship of the beast and its image and those who receive the mark of the beast on their forehead or on their hand will face His full wrath. In Revelation 14:8-9, the Word of God states:
“And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,” (Revelation 14:8-9)
Verse eight emphasizes that she has fallen because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. Surely, this Babylon is related to the beast and its image. The beast is Satan, and the image of the beast is the likeness or similitude taken out of context from the pure Word of God. In otherwords, it is the idea of chipping away or carving out graven images from God’s pure holy Word of truth and creating false doctrines, which are spiritual high places within the global defiled corporate congregations. I can prove only by the grace of God that the Babylon of Revelation 14:8-9 is indeed the global congregations of today by going to the last verse of Revelation 18, where we can find this concluding statement concerning this Babylon:
And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
Moreover, in Revelation l7:6 it was written:
And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
Does this indictment of murder apply to the worldwide organized/corporate congregations of New Testament Israel during the period of the abomination of desolation leading up to Judgment Day?
What a terrible idea many would say!
In fact, it does indeed apply to the worldwide organized congregations.
Let us examine a principle that Christ enunciated in Luke 13:33-34:
“…for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee …” (Luke 13:33-34)
The Lamb of God is saying that the ones who murder the prophets are the ones within the global organized congregations. Remember, the global congregations are of the New Testament Israel, also called Jerusalem and Judah. The blessed Messiah is saying not only do they murder the prophets, but that the prophets are murdered (mostly in a spiritual sense - silenced - cut off - cast out) by the organized church bodies within the Christendom, the Great City, and not by the outside world. At first this may seem surprising, but it is understandable when we realize that the world in general does not distinguish between the true Gospel and false gospels.
Therefore, they desire to kill all religions of the world, and they will kill individuals of all gospels. The holy place is the New Testament temple of God, the earthly church which is the representation of Messiah’s eternal Church. The Abomination of Desolation can only take place within the outer courts of this church, for within the true temple are His true elect and thus they cannot be deceived by Satan. Let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains, Jesus tells us. This absolutely cannot be speaking of only those people who live in the ancient geographical area once called Judaea. No, the New Testament Judaea is yet another symbol or type of Messiah’s New Testament church, the Israel of God.
Even more emphatically, the Holy Bible states in Matthew 23:34-35:
“Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.” (Matthew 23:34-35)
Note the similar language of Revelation l8:24 and Matthew 23:35:
Revelation 18:24: “of all that were slain upon the earth.”
Matthew 23:35: “all the righteous blood shed upon the earth.”
In John 16:2, Jesus states that the chosen believers are driven out of the synagogues (the place where believers were to gather not forsaken the assembling of ourselves together - Hebrews 10:25), and this is spoken of as the killing of the saints.
One last proof that Babylon represents the corporate congregations during the abomination of desolation at the very end of time is found in Revelation 18:2, as it was written:
“And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold [prison] of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.”
Notice that this verse says that Babylon “is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit.”
If Babylon here in Revelation represented just the outside world, God would not have used the phrase “is become” because the world has always been the habitation of devils since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden.
However, now that Satan has invaded and conquered the global corporate congregations and now rules in a majority of them, they will become the habitation of devils and the prison of every foul spirit during the final dark days of great tribulation in the upcoming days.
So, this verse helps to confirm that we have properly understood that Babylon here represents the global congregations turned spiritual harlot at the very end of time starting with the abomination of desolation followed by the final days of the great tribulation and finally Judgment Day.

He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city [Jerusalem, where the Temple was located] to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand.
And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side;
And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.
And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:
Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.
And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.
And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem?
Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, the LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not.
And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head.
And, behold, the man clothed with linen, which had the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, I have done as thou hast commanded me.
Ezekiel chapter nine sets a very harsh tone that is impossible for the carnal mind to even come close to comprehend mainly with members in the organized global church environments. Jerusalem is in view in the above passages of Ezekiel chapter nine.
Has anyone during Old Testament ancient days actually gone throughout Jerusalem with a cup full of ink (inkhorn) and placed a mark upon the foreheads of all those who sigh and mourn due to all of the abominations that were performed within the midst of this city?
An Impossible task because this is highly spiritual language spoken here.
The only one worthy of this task is our Sovereign Lord Jesus Christ and He is the one who places this mark or eternal SEAL upon the heads of all chosen believers.
Yes, chosen elected believers will mourn and sigh at all the abominations that are done within the midst of this spiritual city of Jerusalem, which is God’s global and corporate church turned spiritual harlot at the very end of time because of the abomination of desolation of Satan’s religious counterfeit army of Gog and Magog (Revelation 20:7-8) invading and ruling in her.
The man clothed with linen, which had the writer’s inkhorn by His side is indeed referring to the pre-incarnated Lord and Saviour Jesus. Reference verses dealing with the man who is clothed with linen are Ezekiel 10:2-7, Daniel 10:5, Revelation 1:12-20. He is Lord and Saviour and the “inkhorn” means a cup and/or an ink-stand.
In verse three we read that the glory of God was gone up from the cherub and called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer’s inkhorn and was told to set a mark in the midst of Jerusalem upon the chosen men of God that sigh and cry for all the abominations and all the wickedness that be done in the Temple and in the synagogues at that time. This is all symbolic and metaphorical language God is using.
The mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and cry in verse four speaks to the individuals who have the seal of the Holy Spirit of promise (Ephesians 1:13; Ephesians 4:30; II Corinthians 1:21-22; II Timothy 2:19, Revelation 7:3-4) in their foreheads who are written in the Lambs book of Life by the blessed Messiah who is the man clothed in linen that has the writer’s inkhorn to write the names in heaven.
Those who received the mark in their foreheads that sigh and cry for all the abominations that go on within the corporate/organized harlot congregations at the very end of time are indeed the chosen elect of God who are zealous for His holy name.
But behold there is another group of individuals who are not blessed with having the seal of approval of God’s Spirit in their foreheads within the global organized harlot congregations in reference to Jerusalem.
These individuals make up the majority of the individuals within the congregations at the very end of time who calls themselves true followers of Jesus, but are the two parts therein that shall be destroyed and cut off and eternally judged by God as stated in Zechariah 13:8.
The pre-incarnated Messiah who was the man clothed in linen with the writer’s inkhorn speaks to Ezekiel in verses five and six and commands him to go after them through the city of Jerusalem and smite them.
The LORD commands Ezekiel to not let his eye spare, neither have any pity. And slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women. This sounds very harsh to the carnal minded person who makes a profession to be a true believer but is truly not saved and has never been born from above by God the Holy Spirit.
Also the pre-incarnated Jesus commands Ezekiel not to come near any man who has the mark, but begin at my sanctuary in verse six. This is very significant that the LORD commands Ezekiel to start the slaughter of the masses within the house of God.
This goes in harmony with the overall theme throughout the Holy Bible where Judgment must begin at the house of God (Jeremiah 25:16-18). The lost outside world in general are going to be punished by Christ, but God’s anger is directed first at His so-called people.
They have utterly profaned His holy name. And the LORD God is jealous for His name’s sake. God is a jealous God. For His name is Jealous (Exodus 20:5, Exodus 34:14, Deuteronomy 4:24, Deuteronomy 5:9, Deuteronomy 6:15, Joshua 24:19). And He has every right to be jealous for the utter wickedness and abominations committed within the harlot corporate church bodies worldwide and of the outside lost world for Hecreated us to serve His will and to perform His purpose and to be of His good pleasure.
This command by God to Ezekiel in his flesh was very grievous to handle, but in the Spirit he was willing and able. Ezekiel agonizes heavily throughout the whole ordeal while they were slaying the inhabitants of Jerusalem with the Holy Word of God that is spiritually compared to a sword (Ephesians 6:17; Hebrews 4:12), and when it came down to only him left, he fell down upon his face and cried, and said, Ah Sovereign GOD will you destroy all the remnant of Israel in thy wrath against Jerusalem!
Today, it is so very hard within the land of Christendom to witness the pure Word of God to anyone who is a part of the global corporate/organized church bodies. There are so many different types of denominations of Christ along with their respectative doctrines where most teach contrary to the truth of God’s Word that they because of these abominable spiritual high places have to this current day become apostate.
Currently towards the very end of time we are exactly in the same shoes as Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah, Haggai, and Zechariah just to name a few brothers in Christ during the seventy-year captivity of the literal king of Babylon.
They were all led away as captives from Jerusalem, the Old Testament state church, into the land of Babylon, which symbolically depicts the whole world in general that lies in complete spiritual darkness.
By Jamaal Delbridge
In this study we will turn our attention to the prophecy of the LORD God through the spoken words of Jeremiah the prophet concerning the latter days, which are the days of the New Testament Era. The 70-year captivity of the king of Babylon invading the Temple at Jerusalem and also the surrounding cities of Judah that Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel were a part of typifies exactly the spiritual 70-year captivity of the spiritual king of Babylon’s (Satan’s) rulership within the global New Testament organized congregations of professing believers in the end of days.
The whole book of Jeremiah is pointing us and referring exclusively to the whole New Testament Era along with the abomination of desolation occurring at the very end of time. That’s why most congregations across the globe do not spend much time within this holy book because it is prophesying mainly against them for the most part.
Jeremiah chapter 23 has a central theme concerning the New Testament Israel of our day that starts in the very first verse, “Woe be unto the pastors,” (Jeremiah 23:20) let’s the reader know that it is referring to the latter days of the New Testament Era with the phrase “in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.”
Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture saith the LORD.
Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.
And I will gather the remnant [a few out of many] of my flock [the chosen elect of God] out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase [eternal Salvation by the LORD’s sovereign grace alone with the giving of the Holy Spirit started on the Day of Pentecost].
And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.
Behold, the days come [the New Testament Era], saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
Jesus Christ is that "righteous Branch" (Isaiah 4:2; Isaiah 11:1-5; Zechariah 3:8; Zechariah 6:12-13) from the seed of David that came to earth as God incarnate to die for His chosen people (Matthew 1:21; John 17:9).
In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, the LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
This verse as is the previous verse is referring to the whole New Testament Era of those who were/are blessed by being born again from above by God the Holy Spirit.
They are considered and called spiritual Jews by the right of circumcision in the heart made without hands in the Holy Spirit (Romans 2:28-29) and are made up of all nations, peoples, kindreds, and every tongue (Revelation 7:9).
Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of the words of his holiness.
The elect of God currently feels Jeremiah’s pain and heartache because of all the false prophets who are leading masses of people astray during these final days of the New Testament era of spiritual Israel ending with the GREAT “spiritual” tribulation period. This is a horrifying and frightening thing to see this event take place currently in the doors of the global congregations of professing christians.
For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up [the wilderness is referring to this whole earth that is a spiritual barren wilderness], and their course is evil, and their force is not right.
The congregations (the pleasant places) today are dried up being full of adulterers in more of a spiritual sense.
The people have committed adultery against whom they believe is their heavenly husband, the LORD God because of their worship of false gods and idols in the form of false words and false doctrines taught within the doors that are contrary to the truth of God’s Word.
For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house [The Temple, which is comprised of all world-wide church bodies currently (I Corinthians 3:9-17; I Corinthians 6:13-20)] have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD.
Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.
And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.
I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness; they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.
The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.
Clearly in this given context of the phrase “in the latter days ye (plural) shall consider it perfectly” in Jeremiah 23:20, the LORD is referring exactly to the New Testament days leading right up to the final days of great tribulation where Satan as the king of Babylon (the physical world) will spiritually invade all corporate congregations worldwide trodding them down by conquering and ruling.
Also we have in verse 14 the prophets of Jerusalem being compared to “as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah” by the LORD God. This given context of Holy Scripture sounds very similar to a verse of Scripture in Revelation chapter 11 dealing with the context of the death of the eternal chosen Church of Christ being called the two witnesses because of spiritual harlotry. By being killed that means they were cast out the churches into the streets (John 16:2).
In Revelation 11:7-8 the Holy Bible states:
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.”
From verses of Holy Scripture, Jesus was crucified right outside the city gates of Jerusalem, which is the Great city. That “Great city” speaks of the New Testament Israel of all the congregations within Christendom spread throughout the world in which all are typified as being Judah and Jerusalem where the literal Temple of God was located.
Here in Revelation 11:7, God is once again referring to Jerusalem, which was a place of worship to Him, now in the latter years being called Sodom and Egypt in the spiritual realm. Both places, Sodom and Egypt, are metaphorically typed as places of bondage/captivity unto their king/master Satan. Sodom and Egypt were both condemned unto punishment by God because of their utter wickedness in the Holy Scriptures.
Continuing on in Jeremiah 23 we read:
I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.
Many current pastors and ministers that preach God’s Word claim that they have visions and dreams of God speaking directly to them and other messages of the sort. I pray that God will move and cause you to come out of these harlot places at once. God does not come anymore in the forms of visions, dreams, signs, and wonders ever since the Holy Bible has been completed.
How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? Yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;
Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.
The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream and he hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff [the unsaved tares within the church bodies] to the wheat? [the chosen believers] saith the LORD.
There was a very preeminent man who led a historical march to the capital hills of Washington DC during the civil rights movement whose speech was titled “I Have a dream” in which the entire world would come together in unity one day. That man used a lot of God’s Word very much out of context to get his point across to the huge crowds that gathered on that historic day. It was a very emotional speech to the flesh, but had no bearing as far as the truth of God’s Word is concerned. He mentioned a key phrase during his emotional speech that was blasphemy and that was “we are all God’s children.” That is completely false according to the truth of Holy Scripture. For 1 John 3:10 states,
“In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.” (1 John 3:10)
This verse of Holy Scripture clearly identifies two different specific groups of individuals. One group is of righteousness being the children of God, the children of the Light. And the other group is not of righteousness being the workers of iniquity who God hates (Psalm 5:5, Psalm 11:5), the children of the devil who are also called the children of the night/darkness. Also in John 8:44, Christ spoke against the Jews stating directly to them “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.”
So, in these two given contexts of the Holy Bible one can clearly see given the Holy Spirit of course that the world is divided into two separate groups, the children of God and the children of the devil.
If a Pastor is preaching dreams and visions, then it is commanded to flee from this wicked and cursed individual because the LORD did not send these prophets, Satan did.
It is an abomination to God to declare these dreams and visions in the name of Christ simply because God has finished the Holy Bible over 2,000 years ago. God does not need nor will He tolerate man’s selfish and prideful attempts at lifting up oneself by declaring that God has spoken personally to him through dreams and visions.
In this Era of the New Covenant, God speaks to us only from His finished works of the Holy Bible. If you want to truly hear what the LORD God has to say to us today, then just simply read and study the Holy Bible. If you think you may have something to add to God’s perfect Word by declaring a self-made dream or vision as being from the Almighty, then you may as well go ahead and declare it and possibly deceive many by your poisonous words. However, your words are but a portion of the venomous and lethal dosage of the darkened scorpions from hell.
Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?
Currently, there is very little preaching at all that burns and beats down the flesh consistently within the global church bodies of the Great City of God. Most of the preaching within the congregations of today is very watered-down and filled with poison of man-made doctrines. These false prophets’ messages are soft and fluffy as like cotton-candy massaging and soothing the sinful flesh of man Sunday after Sunday.
Many who make a profession of faith that are still within the organized congregations within Christendom mainly go to be entertained and to be appeased. For God to compare His Holy Word to a fire and a hammer are not soft and very soothing words of preaching and teaching to say the least. On the contrary, these are very harsh methods as far as the words are concerned to present/witness to one’s flesh.
Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.
Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land [the global congregations of New Testament Israel].
Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.
And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come.
An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come.
The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.
The phrase in the seventh verse “not the sounding again of the mountains” is referring to God’s judgment of eternal wrath against, first, His harlot church of ancient Israel, specifically Judah.
The chosen elect (Ezekiel 36:1-11) being taken captives into the world of Babylon were shown mercy and goodness (Jeremiah 24:4-7, Jeremiah 42:9-12) while everyone else who remained in Jerusalem and in the surrounding cities of Judah, the Old Testament holy places, were all killed.
Those who refuse to leave the city of Jerusalem and the surrounding cities of Judah (the four corners of the land meaning the whole land of God) were slain with the sword, famine, and the pestilence. This is a metaphor and/or foreshadowing of the things to come upon the whole land of professing Christendom, the end is quickly approaching.
Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and accomplish mine anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense thee for all thine abominations.
And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thine abominations that are in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am the LORD that smiteth.
(This is the very same verse as verse 4 of this same-self chapter. God repeats himself over and over as a main principle in Holy Scripture being an effective tool in teaching Isaiah 28:9-13).
Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.
(The Holy Bible states, “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall” - Proverbs 16:18).
Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, of their multitude, nor of any of their’s: neither shall there be wailing for them.
The “rod” speaks to authority, chastisement, and in some cases protection from danger, which in essence speaks to God’s authority, chastisement, and protection over His chosen people. King David states through the Holy Spirit in Psalm 23:4 as it was written,
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [the LORD God] art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
In verse 11, however, the inhabitants of Judah have turned God’s Word and His authority that was supposed to be the over laying authority in which they live by and have turned it into violence and all sorts of abominations and wickedness. They sat on their own throne of authority being full of pride (v. 10) that has swelled up like yeast in bread and see themselves as gods totally independent from the one true Sovereign God of heaven and earth.
And because of this, God’s wrath was kindled against them and He sent forth the king of Babylon into the Temple and into their synagogues and physically ravished and destroyed them. The Chaldeans took everything that was of any value out of the Temple - e.g., vessels of gold and silver, and carried them into Babylon putting them into their houses of their gods.
In the spiritual realm, this all points to the very end of time of Satan’s take over (the abomination of desolation) the global church bodies. Babylon symbolizes the entire outside world and its king/ruler is of course Satan.
The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.
They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
The “buyer” and the “seller” refer to the merchants of God buying and selling spiritual merchandise, which is the Word of God.
But in this context of the verses 12-14, these merchants are comprised of Jews who claimed that they knew God and His will for their lives but live contrary to what they profess. These verses spiritually are pointing to the events near the very end of time just prior to Judgment Day. Isaiah 24 is an outline of God’s Judgment Day upon the whole earth.
Let’s look at some of these verses of Holy Scripture:
Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth
it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.
The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word.
The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.
The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.
In this current present time, the world in general is so very evil and wicked similarly like the days of Noah that the Holy Bible states in Genesis 6:5, “that every imagination of the thoughts of man’s heart was only evil continually.”
The earth was so evil and wicked in Noah’s day that it repented the LORD that He
had even made man upon the earth (Genesis 6:6-7). The evilness of the world doing those ancient times are exactly like the wickedness of the world currently, better yet, even worse given the increasing knowledge of man and the ever increasing technology of the world. There is no thought of God’s laws, statutes, and commandments in the hearts and minds of the majority of the inhabitants of the earth.
Verse five is an indictment/judgment against the New Testament state church bodies during the final days of abomination of desolation at the end of time and space.
Verse five states they have sinned against God’s laws, and have cunningly changed the doctrines of the Holy Bible, and have effectively broken the laws and commandments of the New Testament/Covenant, which is the everlasting covenant of the blessed Messiah.
Jesus of course is the mediator of the New Testament (Hebrews Chapters 8 and 9).
Therefore hath the curse [sin] devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
The phrase above in verse six “the inhabitants of the earth are burned” is in reference to the power of the pure Gospel of Christ/the Word of God being compared to like as an actual fire that will spiritually devour all those who are under God’s divine wrath especially in the latter days of the New Testament.
Let me explain only by the grace and power of God the Holy Spirit. I first turn to Jeremiah chapter 23 where in verse 29 it reads,
“Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?”
Here we can see that God compares His Word to being like as an actual fire.
Next, we have the verse of Zechariah 12:6 where it states,
“In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.” [the heavenly New Jerusalem is in view here, Hebrews 12:22-23]
And finally we have the verse of Holy Scripture referring to the chosen believers of the Messiah in the same given context of Zechariah 12:6 in mentioning the last days of the New Testament Era in Revelation 11 verses 3 and 5 where it states,
And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days [symbolic of the New Testament Era], clothed in sackcloth.
And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
When was this power first given by the LORD unto the Elect of God?
It officially started on the Day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit came from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and there appeared unto them all who sat in the upper room in the city of Jerusalem cloven tongues like as of fire. They were immediately filled with the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:1-4.
This was a fulfillment of the Zechariah 12:6 as well as Jeremiah 31:31-35 of Holy Scripture.
This power is indeed known in the Holy Bible as like a fire from the LORD God of His Holy Spirit. The Word of God is a twoedged sword used by the mouths of the chosen elect of God that can either save or condemn a person (II Corinthians 2:15-16, Hebrews 4:12).
The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merryhearted [God’s chosen elect] do sigh [do sigh because the Gospel waters of eternal salvation (new wine) is no longer being taught properly and truthful within the global congregations of Christ.]
The “vine” speaks of Jesus Christ being the true Vine, the new wine speaks of eternal salvation and His eternal chosen Church being the branches of His body (John 15:5).
I now return to Ezekiel chapter seven to cover more verses:
The sword is without [outside], and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field [outside world] shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city [Jerusalem, spiritually typing the global congregations at the end], famine and pestilence shall devour him.
But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity. (This verse of Holy Scripture is referring literally to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and the surrounding towns of Judah of those unsaved Israelites who escaped out of the city and fled to the mountains. This verse is also referring spiritually to a remnant that shall closely resemble the chosen elect but they are still under the eternal judgment of God at the very end of time. They will be running to and fro in search of the Gospel of peace, but they will not be able to find it, Amos 8:11-12, Revelation 9:6).
They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.
As for the beauty of his ornament [God’s House of worship, Mount Zion, the Holy City], he set it in majesty: but they [the land of Israel] made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them.
And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it.
The word “it” I truly believe is in reference to God’s Holy City where the truth of His Word, the pure Gospel of peace, being now diminished because of complete idolatry and abominations held within the Temple, having a spiritual fulfillment of the global congregations at the end of time becoming apostate.
Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. (There’s only one great King and that is Christ Jesus.)
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.
Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things are laid waste. (Satan’s abomination of desolation is in view here.)
My face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret place: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it.
Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses [house points directly to a person’s soul, Matthew 7:24-27]: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled.
Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.
The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts [judgments] will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
Ezekiel chapter 7 in the spiritual realm is the stern warning of the great apostasy and judgment of God upon professing christendom just prior to the blessed Messiah Jesus Christ's second return.
As you can imagine, Ezekiel probably stuck out in the midst of the congregation of Judah like a sore thumb where they gave him some of the harshes looks imaginable as he probably took a lot of abuse because of the strong harsh words of the LORD proclaimed to them that Jerusalem and the temple will and shall be destroyed because their utter wickedness and their continual worshipping upon the high places of the mountains and hills of other gods.
Individuals of the outside world including Muslims and other religions are not the ones who will give the chosen believers of Christ the hardest times when bringing forth the pure Word of God. Instead, it is indeed the individuals who make a profession of faith being truly not saved within the Great City of Christendom that kills and destroys the pure Gospel of Christ crucified.
People of the outside world do not differentiate between other gospels of religion.
They do not want any kind of religion interfering with their daily personal lives. It is only the individuals who are within the corporate congregations of Christ who will differentiate between gospels of religion. Look at Jesus and the interaction with His own people, the Jews, for a great example. Read in the Holy Bible in Matthew 21:12 through Matthew chapter 23 on the harsh tone He spoke against the religious leaders of the Jews leading into Matthew chapter 24 on His prophecy of the end time referring directly to the complete spiritual destruction of the New Testament global congregations by the spiritual king of Babylon, Satan, who is the abomination of desolation.
Who crucified the Messiah on the cross at Calvary, the Jews or the Romans being Gentiles?
A: The Jews, His native people!
